This application will update your ArmA: Armed Assault / Combat Operations to version 1.08.5160.

System requirements:

How to install the Patch:
Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically (you may be prompted to choose your exact version in some occasions).

There's no uninstall option for the patch itself. You need to reinstall the game from the original setup to get it to the original version.


Version 1.08 is released as free patch to all existing editions of ArmA (updated to version 1.05 or US version 1.06).

This file will update your Armed Assault installation to version 1.05

This patch contains a lot of changes and fixes. Installation will take a long while (could be more than 30 minutes on slower systems). Please do NOT restart your computer if you think the installation has failed. It will end automatically, just be patient.


1. Unpack the file
2. Run Arma_InternationalPatch_105.exe

The 1.05 patch is not compatible with previous versions. If you update your arma installation to 1.05 you can not join servers running any lower version.

Dedicated server file (win32):
The Windows Dedicated Server EXE is installed automatically with this patch.

Server admins should note that if they update the server to 1.05 they will have to reinstall any modified files.

===How to use STOVL===
Harrier (AV8B) can now perform Short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL).
It is controled with "Autohover ON/OFF" action.
When activated, there is no such autopilot for slowdown that helicopters use.
Thrust vector is just rotated downwards. Q/Z keys control only airplane speed.
There are no keys for control over vertical thrust,
so it is not possible to hover up/down like in helicopter.
Takeoff procedure:
- activate Autohover
- extend full flaps (2x crtl+K)
- gain some speed by holding Q for a short while and then release it.
- once in the air, retract gear (crtl+G)
- hold Q a little longer until you move fast enough
- retract flaps as you build more speed (2x ctrl+L)
- at aprox. 180kmph toggle autohover off and control flight as regular aircraft
Landing procedure:
- reduce speed and altitude same way as during conventional landing
- extend full flaps (2x crtl+K), drop gear (crtl+G)
- hold Z to reduce speed
- at aprox 180 kmph activate Autohover
- pitch nose up to reduce speed, check speed, height and flight path vector indicated on HUD
- hold Z for descent at aprox 2.5 m/s
- at touchdown toggle autohover off

ArmA Warfare, included as a bonus update in this patch, is a blend of a team-based multiplayer mission and realtime strategy. Two sides (BLUFOR vs. OPFOR) fight for control of the whole map. It is multiplayer map designed for 1 up to 32 players. It also uses other bonus content included in the patch: desert Marines and a modified Southern Sahrani map.

To start ArmA Warfare game, start multiplayer mission as usual. In the Create game screen select "Southern Sahrani" island. The "Warfare v1.0" and "Warfare v1.0 for 32" players missions appear in the list on the right. Select them to play Warfare. Standard Warfare is the 16 player (8 vs 8) mission. Warfare for 32 players (16 vs 16) is recommended for higher performance systems. See briefing screen of the Warfare mission for more instructions.

Full ArmA Warfare Manual is included in pdf file in the patch distribution.


This patch will automatically offer you to install anti cheating software for online games to your ARMA working folder. If you decide not to install Battleye, your patch still will be working but you may not be able to join game servers that will have installed Battleye software for increased anti cheating protection.

It will install all BattlEye content to a folder "BattlEye" (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\BattlEye or C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\BattleEye). If BattlEye was installed, it will be securing online sessions hosted on your server (requiring all clients to have BattlEye also installed) unless it is disabled in server config using line "battlEye = 0;"

NOTE: BattlEye itself will be run from ARMA's application data folder (default is C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA\BattlEye) to have write access in order to be able to download/install updates and/or create logs and other BE-related files.


There's an uninstall application UnInstallBE.exe installed in the BattlEye installation folder that allows you to remove BattlEye from ARMA. You can also remove BattlEye using Add/Remove Programs control panel.


You can run your existing ArmA normally, your version was updated. There is no way to uninstall the patch, in order to get back to previous version you need to uninstall ArmA

ArmA2 Patch 1.01 (Beta, Deutsch)

Die Betaversion des ersten Patches für die deutsche Version von ArmA 2. Dieses 80MB große Paket berichtigt vor allem KI, Scripting und UI Probleme der deutschen Version.

  • Alte Spielstände können mit diesem Beta Patch nicht verwendet werden
  • Für die Installation des finalen Patches Ende Juni muss ArmA 2 neu installiert werden Laut BIS soll sich der finale Patch über den Beta Patch installieren lassen
  • Eine Neuinstallation ist außerdem für das Entfernen des Beta Patches nötig

ArmA Beta Patch 1.16

ArmA2 Patch 1.02 (Updated Build 58134)

Wie bereits angekündigt, hat Bohemia Interactive nun den 1.02 Patch um die neuen Funktionen und Fixes der Demoversion erweitert.
Das Update kann über alle bisherigen Versionen drüberinstalliert werden, und im Multiplayer sind die beiden 1.02´er Versionen miteinander kompatibel. Eines der Highlights ist das nun funktionierende Anti Aliasing im Zusammenspiel mit aktivierten Schatten.
