Darin enthalten sind die verkleinerte Version von Chernarus, sowie die Missionen. Per Modordner geladen lässt sich beides problemlos in der Vollversion betreiben.

Die Chernarus_lite Insel bietet sich insbesondere für Testzwecke im Editor an, ausserdem wird sie für die ebenfalls mit der Demo veröffentlichten Benchmark Mission benötigt. Die schmale Version von Utes_lite haben wir nicht hinzugefügt, weil dort lediglich die USS Khe Sanh entfernt wurde.

Diese Sammlung soll unter anderem bei der Erstellung von Projektordnern, dem Import in O² und noch so einigen anderen Vorgängen behilflich sein. Die Betaversion des ersten Patches für die deutsche Version von ArmA 2. Dieses 80MB große Paket berichtigt vor allem KI, Scripting und UI Probleme der deutschen Version.

  • Alte Spielstände können mit diesem Beta Patch nicht verwendet werden
  • Für die Installation des finalen Patches Ende Juni muss ArmA 2 neu installiert werden Laut BIS soll sich der finale Patch über den Beta Patch installieren lassen

Wie bereits angekündigt, hat Bohemia Interactive nun den 1.02 Patch um die neuen Funktionen und Fixes der Demoversion erweitert.
Das Update kann über alle bisherigen Versionen drüberinstalliert werden, und im Multiplayer sind die beiden 1.02´er Versionen miteinander kompatibel. Eines der Highlights ist das nun funktionierende Anti Aliasing im Zusammenspiel mit aktivierten Schatten.

Start up the mission editor on Utes and load the AnimViewer.

To add the Viewer to your own mission, copy the folder 'AnimationViewer' to your mission folder.
Add this to your 'description.ext':

#include <AnimationViewer\include.h>

Add this to your 'init.sqf' or the Init line of any unit:

nil = [] execVM "AnimationViewer\init.sqf";


Note: Don't forget to remove all the above before exporting your mission to SP / MP missions! ;-)

You can save as many animations as you wish in the 'Saved Animations' ListBox.
When clicking on 'Copy', all the saved animations will be copied to clipboard.

- Access to two SQLite databases with SQL syntax (for saving and loading data)
- HTTP GET support to retrieve data from the web

- Retrieving mouse information, including cursor position, "relative" positions and button states
- Setting TrackIR X,Y,Z and roll axis freedom for "6DOF" support
- Retrieving the current viewdistance, camera X/Y FOV, current screen resolution and arma command line
- Night vision goggles effect detection
- 'ScriptLink' feature, which allows real time communication with external applications using a Windows named pipe
- Debug output


There is also a samples package with a few simple missions for testing some of the features

I have tested it quite alot, but there still can be some nasty bugs left. If you get crashes when using it, dont bother BIS with the crash reports, its propably not their fault :P I have tested it on Windows XP SP2 client & server and Windows 2000 pro server, other OS might or might not have some unknown problems.

ArmAlib is activated by a "proxy" DSOUND.DLL file which is installed into the ArmA directory. If you have some serious problems (Such as the game not starting) removing this file will disable ArmAlib permantently. '-noarmalib' parameter can also be used with arma.exe to disable ArmAlib loading.
